Event Volunteers Needed Year Round!

From district-wide math competitions, to our school fair showcase, to teacher appreciation events, Minneapolis Public Schools is always looking for event volunteers. To sign up for our general interest email list, please fill out this form. Upcoming events will be added to this page regularly.

Event volunteers do not need to go through a district application or orientation unless they also plan to volunteer regularly at a school site. 

Come judge a gems/GISE Competition!

Our gems (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science) and GISE (Guys in Science and Engineering) programs are in need of volunteers for their annual tournament and exhibition on Saturday, January 14 from 7:00am-5:00pm. Half day shifts are available. Lunch (for full-day shifts) and training will be provided. Contact Anne Lewerenz for more information and to sign up!

Our STEM Expo needs you!

Our 6th annual STEM and Career Exploration Expo will be taking place on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Help greet and guide 8th grade students as they explore STEM careers. Volunteers are needed from 8:00am-3:30pm. Options of a full-day or half-day shift are available. Lunch is provided for all full-day volunteers. Join the Office of Black Male Student Achievement for a Youth Summit

In partnership with the University of Minnesota, the Office of Black Male Student Achievement is hosting a Youth Summit on Wednesday, February 22 from 9:00am-2:00pm at Coffman Memorial Union. 5-8 volunteers are needed to assist with registration, welcoming students, and helping students find breakout rooms.
