Our community volunteers support and empower K-12 students as they acquire the necessary academic, social, and cultural skills to succeed. Volunteers work under the direction of a classroom teacher, working with students one-to-one or in small groups.

As a volunteer you will:
  • Receive general training to prepare you for your experience in the classroom
  • Assist students with building crucial academic and social skills
  • Support teachers by helping students stay engaged in classroom work
  • Be informed about additional trainings to prepare you for your experience in the classroom
Commitment
  • Recommended commitment of 2 hours a week for the school year. Hours vary by school between 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Volunteers are able to join the classroom at any point during the school year
